Knowledge Base Content Writer

Has strong capabilities in technical writing and should be able to write high-quality articles and guides. This role would be held by an internal team member moving from another team or by an external employee with at least 1-year experience in technical writing.

Strong and consistent writer for all kinds of knowledge base content: articles, guides, best practices.

Independence and autonomy

Can manage work schedule independently and participates in small to medium projects with the supervision of the manager.

  • Backlog will be mostly defined by the manager
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with some guidance from the manager
  • Manages his or her time independently
  • Content will require medium to light rounds of edits – typically around 3
  • Can manage small to medium size projects (define milestones, timeline, raise flags, etc)
Product knowledge

Understands the product and is the expert in one or two product areas.

  • Fully onboarded after 3 months
  • Expert in his/her product areas
  • Perfect knowledge of the monday platform
  • Ability to learn new things and sharing it with the team
  • Ask questions and is willing to learn
Collaboration

Positive communicator and raises flags when needed.

  • Positive energy and able to work great with different stakeholders
  • Establishes good relationships with the CXS from his/her product area
  • Able to communicate in a timely manner when he or she is stuck
Initiation

Can think out of the box and take on extra tasks by themselves.

  • Be on top of all new feature releases and add them to the backlog
  • Actively answers external stakeholders’ queries/issues in the KB board
  • Share ideas with the team

Knowledge Base Senior Content Writer

The senior knowledge base writer must have at least 2+ years of experience at monday.com including 1 year as a knowledge base writer. This person must have a deep understanding of who we are as a brand and must be able to look at the macro level of things.

Professional skills

An excellent writer that can write for all types of self-service channels and can participate in strategic projects.

Behaviors

  • Writes all kinds of self-service content with high quality (guides, articles, scripts, academy courses, etc)
  • Manages at least 2 product area
  • Peer editing – ability to provide constructive feedback to peer’s work
  • Takes part in hiring, strategy and roadmap
Independence and autonomy
Works independently and can lead complex projects from start to finish with excellent execution.

  • Full autonomy of his/her backlog
  • Excellent prioritization of tasks
  • All work requires only light editing or no editing
  • Can solve complex problems independently
  • Lead complex project with excellent execution
Product knowledge
Mentor within the team and an acknowledged company expert in specific content areas.

  • Expert in his or her domain as well as any other areas including other self-service channels
  • Mentors other team members and may onboard them to the team
